Simple. Flawless. Beauty.

A Bridal Beauty Look With Staying Power!

Let me just kick this post off with saying how much I LOVE my bridal clients - seriously! I feel truly honored to be a part of such a special day! With that in mind, I've included a few of my expert tips to maintaining that all-day glam below, and next week I'll share the products and formulas I rely on to glam my beautiful brides!

Directly below, I've broken down the look featured on the stunning bride above, in a simple - less than ten step process - to help you refine your bridal skills, or just help you learn how to achieve a naturally flawless look...whether it's your special day or not!

UNDER 10 STEPS TO ACHIEVE THIS LOOK!

1. Prime the eyes using Mac Cosmetics Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Soft Ochre 2. To create natural definition and add depth on the eyes, use the Violet Voss x Laura Lee Palette and apply the colors Basic and Raga Muffin to the crease. From the same palette, apply colors Alabama, Bitty, and Wiskers to the lid, starting with the darkest shade on the outer corner, and finishing with the lightest shade blended toward the inner corner. Finally, with the same palette, apply the shades Bubs and 1988 to enhance the bottom lash line 3. Create a winged liner using the Inglot Cosmetics Eyeliner Gel in #77 4. For the face, start by priming the skin with the Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Hydrating Primer 4. Using a Beauty Blender, apply the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation in shade #140 5. Set the face with Mac Cosmetics Studio Fix Powder in shade c3 6. Contour the cheekbones using the Girlactik Matte Bronzer in shade Cabo and bronze the cheek using the Laura Mercier Candleglow Sheer Perfecting Powder in Shade 5 7. Highlight the top of the cheekbones using the Anastasia Beverly Hills highlight in So Hollywood 8. For a perfect hint of color on the lips, apply the Girlactik Matte Lip Paint in the shade Posh

MY TIPS FOR ANY BRIDE TO BE!

  1. Primer! While priming the face might seem obvious, it's not quite as simple as you might think - formulation is everything! Make sure that the formula you select is an appropriate match for your skin type, and any problem areas.

  2. Seek out beauty buzz words like HD, Long Wear, or 24-Hour when looking for a foundation formula for this special occasion.

  3. Set it and forget it! Using a pressed powder or translucent powder, always set your foundation to ensure longer, and a more even wear.

  4. Whether you opt for a dramatic smokey eye, or a classic winged liner, don't forget to prime the eyes! Eyeshadow primer will ensure that the shadow will stick around (without creasing) until all the guests have gone.

  5. Waterproof mascara - just trust me! Not only will it save your face in those sentimental moments, but it won't flake off or fall down until you do!

  6. Seal the deal with setting spray! Coat your entire makeup application with an even mist of your preferred setting spray to ensure that you're slaying and NOT shinning!
